Woody's Drive In - Fremont, OH: A Roadside Gem for Great Food & Service

Stopped here during a long road trip and will be recommending this place to anyone passing through Ohio. The service was FANTASTIC. Megan was absolutely amazing and full of positive energy. She gave great recommendations and consistently checked in with us and truly made the experience unforgettable

It takes a lot to get a five star review, but Woody’s definitely deserves it. The food is cheap, and the quality is great. You can either eat at their spacious outdoor eating area or park and have the food come right to your car. The food came extremely fast (within 10 minutes) and was very fresh. I got a corn dog and it was hands down the best corn dog I’ve ever had. Our server, Jackson, was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. We will be returning!

The rootbeer alone is always worth the drive... it is always homemade, served in chilled glasses. Food is great too.

No shelter to park your car under to protect you from the rainy weather. They do however have a sheltered outdoor dining area. The service was quick, very helpful and friendly. The chili dogs we had were very tasty with fresh buns. The root beer was very smooth. The milkshake we ordered was just OK but nothing to get excited about. . Overall we enjoyed our quick little lunch stop.

A Fremont staple for as long as I can remember and a must visit. Old school drive in vibes with a new, refreshed, and updated menu (for the better). My personal favorite is the Splitter burger. The deep fried items are really good, and the root beer is very tasty. The staff is always working hard. Take in the experience, enjoy it, and be patient as they do get busy.

I’m definitely going to go back and try the burgers and a few other things. I had the chili dog and the breaded veal sandwich (from Tiffin!) with a side of the potato wedges with cheese and bacon. My dog had a hotdog too. I washed it all down with a half gallon of root beer. (I took most of it home, but it was too good to order a small.) The carhop was polite and quick to help me out with my order. I hope that they will spiff up the decorations and menu for the new season, I was very surprised to see that they were open in the early days of March- it’s advertised as opening in late March. I guess the pleasant weather was a good deal for the both of us.
